Hi all, hope you're all well in these strange times. Well we are returning to the green baize next week. Unfortunately we have lost 3 teams since covid intervened, they are Rail A and Smoking eights from the first division and the Windmill from the 2nd, unfortunately they were leading at the halfway stage. Also 2 teams are down to 3 players Rail D and the Alfred, so the committee have decided to let them continue, but they will duplicate player's to play the 15 frames. We will encounter byes, so please bare with us so we can complete the season. At the end of the day some games are better than none. Which leads me to, we will play out the league in the next 7 weeks. On the website at the moment the dates will still show sept -nov. So the revised dates are as follows
24th Sept is now 29th July
8th October = 5th August
15th October = 12th August
22nd October = 19th August
29th October. = 26th August
12th November =2nd Sept
19th November =9th Sept
Hope you all understand the new dates. Welcome back and enjoy your pool.
Hi all (remember me ) it's been a long time coming but we had a committee meeting last Wednesday. We decided once the government gives us the go ahead (hopefully 21st June ).We will try and finish the league games and knockouts we are halfway through. Trying to find out which teams are available or willing to carry on. Please can the Captain's of each team post a reply on the Captain's page, so we know where we go from here. Many thanks
Due to the CORONAVIRUS, the ACPL has been suspended with immediate effect. Thank you for your understanding. We are looking out for our players best interests. Don't know how long this will be enforced, but will keep everyone posted.
Hi all, we've reached the halfway stage of the season, hope everyone's having a good season. It's very close in the 2nd Div the most competitive I've known, with 6pts between top and bottom. Still a long way to go but everything to play for. In the 1st Div the Elwick Elite are strong front runners with a 7 pt gap to the Rose A, who are having a great season. They are normally up and down like a fiddler's elbow (nothing malious but you know what I mean lol ).I feel over the last few seasons several teams have strengthed, and there's not a lot of difference between all the teams, which is good and more competitive, which makes it harder for the old boys who have been around a lot longer (we know who we are! ).Enjoy the rest of the season, Team Ko Draw venues will appear on here tomorrow evening.
Hi all, should of said as we have new teams in the league this year. The Team Knockout is the first team to get 8 frames.
Home team decided by toss of a coin.
Then a further toss of a coin to decides who breaks first.
Also to say new venue instead of Alfred is the Windmill.
